Whaaaat?!? The entire World Industries filmography? Pretty epic for a Monday. When Powell and Santa Cruz was running the skate game with their brigade of vert skaters, World was ushering in a new era of offensive pop grahics, a raw attitude (Big Brother, where Johnny Knoxville got his first "break") and the world's best street skaters. If I wanted to watch these videos as a kid, I'd have to skate to the bus, go to the nearest skate shop (next town over) and sit there googling through the display glass, hoping that a friend would come by to maybe go halves on it. Then you'd fight over who would get it first and who would get the dub. Now these rare vids are compiled for you in one DVD set - yay. Raw footage, music and antics from their entire filmography. Classics include the beautifully crude Rubbish Heap (1989 - Rodney Mullen, Steve Rocco, Mike Vallely, Jeremy Klein, Chris Pastras, etc), Two World Industries Men (1990 - Randy Colvin and Chris Pastras), the mid blowing Love Child (1992 - Chico Brenes, Daniel Castillo, Spencer Fujimoto - who taught me about graf - Shiloh Greathouse, Daewon Song, etc.), New World Order (1993 - Kareem Campbell, Daewon, Guy Mariano, Eric Koston, Brian Lotti, Henry Sanchez, Shiloh, etc.), 20 Shot Sequence (1994 - Fabian Alkomar, Ronnie Creager, Sam Delvin, Jason Dill, Shiloh, Maurice Key, Kris Markovich, Lavar McBride, Chris Lambert, etc.) and Trilogy (1996 - Kareem Campbell, Gideon Choi, Ron Creager, Josh Kasper, Maurice Key). Basically, this is the definitive World Industries collection. They were so influential, I can't imagine skate history without them. Relive the good times, or just play catch up with one of the hardest skate crews ever. 3DVD set.
