Competitors and contest organizers alike felt that the 2008 Globe Pro Fiji was the best event for waves on the Men’s ASP World Tour in nearly two years.

After missing the event in 2006, Kelly Slater picked up right where he left off in 2005, in vicious form and with another win--his third of the year for 2008. Despite strong performances by Globe team riders CJ Hobgood and Taj Burrow, finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively, Slater’s form was true to his eight world titles, unbelievable!
